For this first meetup we are very happy to have a great speaker from Hamburg: Soenke Ruempler.
Soenke is co-founder of superluminar, a consultancy based in Hamburg that helps organizations to embrace technical and cultural change. He’s always curious to have a look at the bigger picture and how everything maps back to Deming all the time.
Soenke will present his talk Serverless vs. Organizations: How Serverless forces us to unlearn
“Serverless” is fundamentally changing the way how software is developed, shipped and operated. For many organizations these change are going to turn out to be a major challenge. Entire disciplines and teams might become obsolete or change substantially within organizations.
What is going to change with serverless? What are typical signs of resistance against this change? How can we prepare our org and people for unlearning old patterns and behaviors that don’t work anymore in a serverless world?
How can organizational unlearning become institutionalized in companies? Let’s have a look from a knowledge management perspective.
In a further talk this evening Thomas Peitz will show two possibilities on how to run serverless on kubernetes: OpenFaaS and kubeless.
He will provide some technical insights of both solutions and show you possible workflows in a live demonstration.
Schedule:
You will find parking spaces in the surrounding streets and car parks.
